The view from our private verandah was the highlight. Sitting there with a glass of wine before walking into town for dinner was so relaxing, and breakfast back on the deck with that view was a perfect start to the day. We’d booked last minute after a day of driving, unsure where we’d end up. We first looked in town, but nothing was available, so we settled for out of town. That turned out to be the best decision. Gail and Kim welcomed us warmly, the room was beautifully presented, the bed was very comfortable, and the amenities were great.

Gail and Kim have thought of all the little things you might need during a stay, which was such a refreshing touch. The setting is stunning, too. We only booked one night as a stop between Auckland Airport and the east coast of the Coromandel, but it exceeded all our expectations and we’d gladly have stayed longer. Five stars without hesitation!

We had a hot, relaxing soak in the balcony spa while taking in the magnificent views. The rooms were great, with very comfortable beds, and breakfast was included and delivered fresh each morning. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help. If you’re after a great place to stay in Coromandel, this is it!

The views from the bed were amazing, and the place was so peaceful and relaxing. We stayed for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Take State Highway 25 whichever direction you’re driving from, the setting is just stunning. The hosts were great, and Whitianga and everything there is about a 40-minute drive away. A must on the North Island.

After a long drive, the huge, comfy bed was wonderful, and the unit was spotless. We loved sitting on the verandah with our continental breakfast and enjoying the lovely views from the large unit. Gail and Kim were fabulous hosts, with a wealth of local knowledge. Such a delightful place to find while travelling around New Zealand’s North Island.
