The owners were helpful and friendly, and we’d stay again and recommend it. Our apartment fitted x6 people and had a kitchen with plenty of utensils, a hob, TV and shower. Upstairs there was x1 double, x1 bunk bed and x2 single beds. The double and bunk were comfortable, but the single mattress was very thin, so we stacked x2 mattresses. The stairs were very creaky, and you could hear the neighbours, so it got a bit noisy.

Sue is an awesome lady. The motel had everything we needed, it was warm and everything worked. The kids had lots of fun, and it’s very close to the new world too. We’ll definitely be back.

We were there over the Easter Weekend 2025, and the place was nice, clean and comfortable. It’s close to everything we needed to do in Ohakune, and the lady we met was very helpful. Our kids loved the upstairs setup and the nature of the place, which gave it a real Cabin feel. My one bugbear was the small toilet. Having a sink in there left less room for me. Other than that, we’ll definitely stay again. We hope to come back during winter so the kids can experience the snow. Thank you, and all the best for future endeavors. We were there in summer and noticed there are drying rooms for ski gear in winter. It’s about a 2 to 3 minute drive from town, so probably not walking distance in winter. The place was quiet and clean, with more space than we needed. There’s bedding for 6, all in one upstairs room: 1xdouble, 1x bunk and 2 x single beds. Downstairs has a small living area with a dinning table fir 4 and a kitchette with sink, microwave, fridge and cooker. We’ll stay there again.

The location was great, the staff were very nice, and the kitchenette had all the essentials. I stayed in the 2 bedroom Chalet in July for 3 nights. The heat pump in the living area mostly heats the upstairs rooms, but it was so noisy we couldn’t watch tv or sleep properly. We had to keep it on or freeze, and the toilet and shower were clean but very cold. With a few fixes to the heat pump, it would be absolutely great.
