There’s plenty to see across the extensive grounds, including the original cottage, a working woolshed, and early farming equipment. The three cabins are nicely separated for privacy, making this an excellent couples' retreat. Noel & Gill were marvelous hosts, leaving little treats each day and keeping the cabin spotless. Well worth a stay if you need accommodation in Cromwell.

We loved the cottage's personal touches, especially their fabulous walnuts, and felt completely at home. Gill's home baking was delicious, too. Burn Cottage had everything we needed for a stress free getaway, and Gill and Noel made sure we were comfortable. They were welcoming and informative hosts. Thanks for sharing your magical corner of the world. We hope to return soon.

We walked up the short hill for a lovely view, then got to feed the sheep. The host was very friendly. It's a serene, cozy spot with beautiful scenery, just right for resting and relaxing.

Michael Ness of Guest New Zealand booked our three night stay at Burn Cottage Retreat. We thought the highlight would be the Fjordlands and its natural beauty, but Cromwell's retreat turned out to be a piece of heaven. The host was gracious, the accommodation relaxing, and the food fresh. The location was ideal, with four wineries within walking distance. My wife and I wished we'd stayed longer, and we've decided to do that next time. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

Cecelia is friendly and accommodating, and the cottages are comfortable, private, and well appointed. The gardens and grounds are beautiful to explore. It's a quiet little piece of paradise for unwinding, with Wanaka, Arrowtown, and Queenstown close enough for easy day trips. There are also great hikes and wine tours all around the Clive area.
