We left shortly after arriving. The room seemed clean at first, but it smelled and lacked things we expected. I also wasn't comfortable with the shared facilities, and the kitchen was dirty. The building looked derelict, and we had to find the room ourselves. We were told to expect a full refund after applying, but nothing has come through. I wouldn't bother with this place.

A pleasant spot on the edge of Dunedin, with a nice footpath walk that brings you out opposite. The kitchen was well maintained, with coffee and so on, and there are good power showers and a free washing machine. The electric blanket and heater were welcome. Staff and owner were pleasant.

The room I booked had such a strong smoke smell that it set off my allergies, and I couldn't stay. I had to find somewhere else. I wasn't told about the smell when booking or offered a discount. When I tried to explain the problem, the owner ignored me. I asked for a 50% refund and still haven't heard back.

I've never stayed here, but always thought it had shut down. The place looks like a complete wreck, and I can't imagine wanting to stay there. These days, I suspect the people who do are the ones who didn't realize what they'd booked. Avoid it.

The room smelled like baby spew and was cold. The bar wasn't open at all, and there was nobody else staying there. The manager and staff refused to refund me and wouldn't negotiate. Stay away.
