There's a café, several places to eat and a store for basic supplies within 50m. The hotel is well placed for any of the fox glacier tours. The beds are amazing, and there's an electric fry pan, microwave, some Sky channels and free-to-air TV. It was neat and clean, and the owner was friendly. You get what you pay for, so don't expect too much, but it was well worth staying here.

Connecting our two units worked well for us, and the location was great for the Fox Glacier viewpoint. For such a remote place, the beds were comfortable and there was hot running water. The kitchenette had no gas range, but they provided a kettle for tea and coffee and a microwave. We had a comfortable stay.

We stayed for two nights so we could see a few more sites. The room was a good size, the beds were comfortable, and there was even a bath. The kitchens have been upgraded, with tea cups and coffee mugs too. I love a cuppa in a tea cup! The television was intermittent, and so was the internet.

It's in a good location, but the motel is a little run-down. I was surprised to find stains on the towels. I'd look for somewhere else next time.

We've stayed here three times, most recently on 23rd April, in the super king motel unit. The motel is starting to feel tired. This time the bed was especially uncomfortable, and we both woke with bad backs. The couch bottoms out when you sit on it, and when I booked I was told the television was out of order. The shower had good water pressure. Internet was available and mostly connected well. Cleanliness could be better, with dust behind the toilet and stains on the tiled floors. It's close to town, with parking outside the unit.
