This place was old and tired, with dated everything. The shower and toilet dripped all night, and the lights went out three times in four hours. There was no shampoo or shower gel. The glass mugs were so poorly cleaned that I had to soak and scrub them in hot, soapy water myself. Very unhygienic. We stayed one night, and I wouldn't go back.

The staff were kind and accommodating, and breakfast was fresh and tasty. Food kept coming out at the buffet, with a chef cooking in the middle. The room was relatively clean except for some bugs on the window, and there were no other major issues. The hotel has a distinctive old-time charm alongside reasonable modern facilities. Its current ratings seem badly out of date, as the hotel appears to have been extensively refurbished. Definitely worth a stay if you're in the area.

A dream for mid-century modern fans. We loved the experience and the new staff are giving it their all as the hotel makes a comeback after being closed for four years. The common areas and dining room have gorgeous murals, and the breakfast couldn't be beat. They'll modernise the rooms gradually, so don't let reviews from five years ago put you off. We loved it!

The whole building feels dated, which is a shame because this place has a lot going for it and is turning itself around. The beds are comfy, the shower is good, breakfast is really nice, and the staff are attentive when you see them. The location is stunning, with panoramic mountain views over a very quiet countryside airport. Perfect if you're an aviation geek.
