The staff were courteous and helpful, and the units were comfortable, clean and quiet. The bed was especially comfortable, with good water pressure in the shower. We used the place as a base for exploring glacier country, and shops and restaurants were an easy walk away. Although the units are fairly close together, we didn’t feel intruded on. The gravel car park was the one drawback, since cars coming and going made quite a bit of noise.

Step outside and you’re looking straight up at the mountains. The cottages are positioned so well for the views, and they’re about a block from the main shops and bars. They’re cool little cabins, pretty basic, but there’s a kitchen and a nice bathroom with an extremely hot shower. That would be especially important in winter.

Our room felt spacious and private, and the host was lovely and helpful. Parking was right in front of the lodge, and the surroundings were lovely. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the shower had great pressure. The bed, though, was uncomfortable, and we woke with sore hips and backs.

The location is good, the room was clean, and the staff were super nice. But for the price, the room and value just aren’t up to par. The units are crammed onto a small lot, with no privacy if you open the window and drapes. On warm days you can open the windows, but there are no screens, so black flies will eat you. There’s no air-conditioning or fan, either. It feels like everything was done on the cheap. There are no comfortable chairs, the TV is small and not a SmartTV, and there’s no alarm clock or way to play music. The towels were worn and tatty, not plush like I’d expect at this price. It made me wonder what sleeping in a shipping container would be like. Sorry, but this place just isn’t worth the price.
