Ngarinne was lovely to deal with, even offering us a lift to the Cathedral Cove trailhead. We booked at the last minute for our final full day in NZ, and the only real downside was wishing we could've stayed longer. The kitchen was nicely set apart from the spacious bedroom and living area. It's about an 8-minute walk to the beach and just 3 minutes to the shops and restaurants. I'd happily book again.

The apartment was clean and cozy, with everything we needed close by on foot. What really stood out was how welcoming the hosts were. They're the sweetest Kiwi couple we've met, and we felt like we'd come to visit family. Thanks so much!

After our kayaking tour was canceled the day before because of rough seas, Ray and Ngairene let us come back to rinse off the sand and salt before the drive to Auckland. That was such a kind extra. We also loved relaxing on the sunny patio after a long day on the road. The apartment is lovely and spacious, and has everything needed to cook if, like us, you want to make your own meals. I'd absolutely recommend staying here.

The hosts made our stay feel special. Ngairene and Ray gave us a warm welcome and great recommendations, and we'd gladly recommend Cathedral Cove apartment to anyone visiting lovely Hahei. The apartment is large and beautifully decorated, with a lovely patio and all the amenities we needed. They'd even left thoughtful extras like beach towels and spades for nearby Hot Water Beach. We just wish we'd had more time there. Thank you, Ngairene and Ray!
