Off The Track Restaurant & Cafe

The seafood fetticine was packed with fish, prawns, and mussels, and the kids' burger and chicken were easily split onto two plates. Our two young grandsons loved having the playground and trampoline to keep them busy. We arrived a little before the lunch crowd, which worked well since a large group had booked in. The staff were attentive and happy to help with anything. The food was excellent, though I forgot to take photos. We'll be back.

We ordered a mix of plates to share and every one was a hit. The calamari was the best I've ever had, perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the fried chicken was ridiculously tasty. Drinks were good value too: I paid $11 for a craft beer I've paid $17 for in Auckland. No wonder our friends rave about this place. The atmosphere is excellent, the staff are friendly, and the owner was happy to accommodate our group's special requests. It's my new favourite in the bay.

We were seven people in our late 70s and early 80s, and we all had a great time. The food and wine were excellent, and the friendly staff looked after us at the table. Nothing could be faulted. We'd gladly come back and highly recommend it.

The desserts were even better than the excellent, beautifully presented meals, and the prices felt fair. Walking in last night, we were struck by the fantastic interior and warm atmosphere. Service was great too. I was really impressed, and this restaurant deserves all five stars.
