I came back to Mount View Motel twice, on 24 January and 31 January, for one night each time. Both visits were excellent. It’s affordable and comfortable, with good facilities for the price, and the rooms were clean, tidy and nicely set up for unwinding after a long day. I enjoyed having YouTube and Netflix available, especially watching camping videos on YouTube. It felt a bit like home. There weren’t many guests while I was there, so it was quiet and private, and resting was easy. The atmosphere was welcoming and homely, and the owners seem to care about guests being comfortable. Parking and everything else were simple and convenient. Though it’s rated a 3-star motel, the value, comfort and peace felt like a 5-star experience to me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) I’d happily return and highly recommend it.

We stayed on the 17th of January and got great service and hospitality from start to finish, at an affordable price. We’re heading back this Wednesday till friday, and they’ve helped make it affordable again so we can attend a tangi. Highly recommend staying here.

We’ve stayed at Mount View Motel several times over the years. The rooms are tidy and a good size, communication and service are great, and the price is reasonable. They were able to add someone at the last minute by upgrading our room. We’ll be back!

The owner is so accommodating and a pleasure to chat with. Mount View Motel feels welcoming, and the clean, comfortable rooms give it a home-away-from-home feel. I’d highly recommend it.

I expected a cheap and cheerful no-frills stay, but this place was a really nice surprise. Both the two-bedroom unit and the studio were fantastic. There’s plenty in the grounds for kids to explore, and the host was super friendly and accommodating. We’ll be back!
