Gunner, the young Jack Russell, came along with us on the bush walk down to Onepoto Bay and was lovely company. The views at Nga Puriri are amazing, and Graeme made us a delicious breakfast. Paula’s fruit cake was so good I’ll have to ask her for the recipe. We had such a delightful stay and hope to come back for more of it all before long.

Graeme and Gunner the dog welcomed us and left us a wonderfully rich slice of fruit cake. The place was beautiful, very clean, and had great views. The next morning, Graeme came back with a delicious breakfast for us.

After a long day cycling, staying at Pauline’s cottage felt like a real treat. We were warmly welcomed and felt right at home, and the fruitcake on arrival was fantastic. The cottage is lovely, with a beautiful spot overlooking the ocean and coastal scenery. Breakfast was sensational. We also really enjoyed walking down to hicks bay for a dip before heading on. Would highly recommend staying here.

Breakfast on the deck was a highlight, with a view straight out over the scenery. Graeme is great at poaching eggs. In this remote part of the country, Pauline and Graeme made us feel extremely welcome. The cottage is well set up and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, with spectacular views right in front of its small deck. Highly recommended.

We were very well looked after, and breakfast was delicious, with homemade jam and honey. We ate it on the decking, looking down over the Pacific Ocean. The cottage was delightful, just the right size for a couple, with an amazing and peaceful view. Heaven!
