I had a terrible experience and wouldn’t recommend this place. The woman at the desk was confrontational and rude, and escalated a situation she had created. She told me I had to pay in advance instead of at checkout. I always pay when I leave, including at other motels, and have never had a problem with that. I ended up staying at a friend’s place. The hostess’s treatment was appalling, and I’d give zero stars if I could. Shortly before this, I stayed at the Tower Lodge, where the hosts were amazing. I highly recommend them, and paying at checkout there was no problem at all. I left happy.

The manager was very helpful, texting confirmation the day before we arrived and leaving tokens ready for us to use in the drier. The units were clean and tidy, and it’s on a quiet street that’s handy for town and the airport. We recommend it.

Tina had turned on the heater before we got there, so we arrived to a warm welcome. The motel was very clean, the bed was comfortable and town was within walking distance. Highly recommend this little gem. Thanks, Tina 😊

Tina is an amazing lady. I’d booked a room, then had an early flight out of Stewart Is. Since I was planning to head to Queenstown the next day, I called in to ask if I could cancel. I was fully prepared to pay, but Tina wouldn’t take any money. Thank you very much for the southern hospitality.

Horrible communication. The hosts made us cancel our booking because of “unforeseen circumstances” on their end, and only told us on the day we were meant to stay. The booking was non-refundable too. I’d never recommend this place.
