The room was okay, neither great nor terrible, but the noise was a real problem. The hotel is so close to the highway that heavy traffic was loud even at night. For me, staying here was a big mistake.

A quick, simple stay on my first trip here from Auckland. The necessary utilities were sorted, and Wayne (the pain), as he likes to call himself 😂😂, is a proud young fullah 🫡😂. If you want an affordable, straightforward place close to all the amenities, including a Tavern/Restaurant, this is your go-to ☝️🫡 Thanks Wayne (The Pain) 😂😂

The proprietor was friendly and welcoming, even though I booked quite late that same night through a third party, after the office had closed. In my Twin bed studio at Pine lake view lodge, the room was very clean, the beds neatly made, and the sheets soft and spotless. I slept like a log and would definitely stay again. Cheers for a most pleasant stay!

After moving back to NZ from Australia, I was urgently looking for a place for my young family. I paid for the Pine View Lodge stay through Booking.com, then found a rental and cancelled the reservation. A month later there was still no refund, so Booking.com suggested I contact The Lodge. I wasn't sure who to believe and wasn't accusing anyone, but when I spoke with Wayne, a Pine View Lodge employee, he verbally abused me. He seemed more concerned about "paying his rates" than my situation and said that if I wanted money from him, I should take him to court. Booking.com were at fault, but Wayne was incredibly rude and unprofessional. If that's how he treats customers, I'm glad I didn't end up staying there.
