The room was spacious, clean, and well equipped, with a comfortable bed, and the location was great. I’d made an error with my reservation, but they worked around it and even upgraded me for free. Superb service.

I’d read some negative reviews, but my one night camping here was fine. It was midweek after the school holidays, so fairly quiet, and the facilities were clean during my stay. There were only three other tents, and I got a nice spot near the river, though the camping area is small and it’s first come, first served, so arrive early to claim a pitch. The site is right by the road, so light sleepers should bring earplugs.

The room smelled of cigarettes when we arrived, and the odor stayed throughout our visit. The recent renovation also looked cheap and shoddy, with plenty of things done poorly, though nothing was technically broken. At check-in, the only staff member there didn’t speak English, so he called someone else. That person only asked my name and said nothing more, then the first staff member showed me to the room. For the same price, you can find a much better motel.

They helped us find last-minute accommodation when we needed somewhere for our family dog, thank you. The room was tidy, and there’s a nice campground behind it. It’s also an easy walk to the main street and all the shops and cafes.
