The owners were kind and very helpful, and their suggestions for dinner and things to do were great. We arrived to wine, cheese, and crackers, then had a lovely breakfast pack each morning. The apartment was clean, well equipped, and had beautiful views. Such a gem of a place to relax and watch the ocean.

The hosts made the stay feel special with thoughtful extras: a lovely breakfast basket with fresh fruit and organic juices, a great range of tea and Nespresso coffee, and an unexpected cheese platter when we arrived. The place was beautifully appointed, and the views were amazing.

At Shearwater Apartments in Kaikoura, we felt at home right away. The apartment was tidy and well equipped, and our hosts were caring and lovely. They got in touch well ahead of time and shared lots of ideas for things to do. Dolphin Swimming and Whale Watching are both relatively close by. We had a wonderful time and would gladly return.

From the quiet beachfront balcony, we enjoyed breathtaking views, and Kaikoura township was an easy, pleasant walk away. Jane and Russell made us feel welcome and at home, and were wonderfully attentive. The apartment was immaculate, modern, comfortable, and very well appointed. It made our time in Kaikoura even more memorable. Highly recommended, with nothing to fault.

Titi 2 bedroom was much cooler than the photos suggested, with a small backyard, two decks, and huge windows looking out to sea. It was really clean and had all the bells and whistles, and the bed was super comfy. The layout also works well if you have extended guests, with interconnecting rooms and a hallway that can be separated by a locked door. The people next door weren’t as considerate as we were, and slammed the heavy entrance door a few times. Thanks to the Kaikoura management team for making hosting us easy and being so helpful.
