We paid over $250 a night, so I expected more, even knowing Kaitaia isn't a luxury holiday destination. The bed was comfortable enough, but the carpet was stained all over, there was mould on the bathroom ceiling and wall, and the shower was past its best. The restaurant was closed, and the room had no kitchen gear beyond a bar fridge and microwave, with no plates or utensils. For one night it would do, but for a longer stay I'd book accordingly. It needs new paint, flooring, and a bathroom upgrade. It's very basic, though upgrades could make it quite comfortable.

Dinner was delicious, beautifully presented, and served in generous portions at a good price. The service was fantastic too. Thanks so much for your hospitality Orana.

Love this place. The rooms are great and have what guests need, and the food is incredible for the price. Best place in town.

We came to book dinner, but there was no welcome and our table had only three chairs for the six of us. After seeing mains were $45, we left before ordering.

For $248, the room wasn't worth it, and the cleaners need to learn how to clean. We couldn't even make breakfast because there were no bowls or spoons. I bought cheese at the supermarket, but there wasn't a knife in the room either. The only nice part was a lovely cat who visited before we left. Don't recommend it.
