The staff are friendly and know their stuff. The cafe is great for gluten-free and coeliac diners, with a dedicated GF fryer and absolutely delicious GF cheese scones. My husband isn't GF and had the butter chicken pie. He's already talking about having another for breakfast tomorrow.

The food and coffee were great as always, and I'll keep stopping by for those. But my visit last week was disappointing. The woman serving at the counter didn't smile, make eye contact, say hello, or try to chat. A smile or greeting really helps customers feel welcome. I think the front of house needs someone who takes pride in being friendly and welcoming. A number of friends have said the same. I hope the service is better next time.

We enjoyed the wedges and salad of the day. The Prospector is a welcoming place to settle in for coffee and cake or a tasty lunch, indoors or outside, with friendly, efficient staff. The servings are generous, so bear that in mind when looking at the menu.

The cafe is clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and happy to help. The service was brilliant, and the food was exceptional. I especially love the Pinky Slice, it tastes amazing.
