The lodge made a wonderful end to our much-needed vacation. Brad, one of the co-owners, and his assistant Sam welcomed us and were both gracious, professional, and so helpful. Cabot Lodge is also a great base for visiting Milford Sound. Dan & Sue

We joined the side tour of the 400-acre working farm and watched the sheepdog demonstration, which made the stay feel like a real escape. The attentive staff took care of every comfort from the moment we arrived. Our suite had lovely views and elegant furnishings, and both the hot tub and gourmet meals were beyond what we expected. A perfect stay at Cabot Luxury Lodge.

The lodge is small, with room for at most 12 guests, so it has a friendly, shared feel. We loved talking with the staff and other visitors, especially over canapés, though anyone looking for lots of privacy and anonymity may prefer somewhere else. The views and setting are unbelievable, the stylish rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the food is out of this world. The hosts and staff were among the kindest people I've met. A five-star scale doesn't come close. I'd love to make the long trip back to Cabot Lodge from the other side of the world.

The farm was beautiful to walk around, and Brad told us about it over breakfast that morning. Before that, we'd enjoyed canapés in the lounge, a fantastic dinner from a clearly talented chef, and a beautifully prepared room. The whole place has such a calm feeling that you naturally slow down and enjoy it. Cabot Lodge was our last night in New Zealand, where we were celebrating my wife's 50th birthday. Breidi's messages beforehand had already made it clear why the reviews were so glowing. The welcome was warm and informative, and the room looked lovely, with a pretty view over the farm. As you drive up from the gate, the scenery in every direction is jaw-dropping. It's hard not to get distracted by it on the road. We had a wonderful six days in New Zealand, and we're already figuring out when we can return to Cabot Lodge.

Cabot Lodge was our family's first stop after arriving in New Zealand, and it was such a lovely introduction to the country. The rooms were cozy, with homemade chocolate chip cookies waiting for us. We also loved the evening cocktails and the generous dinners made by their talented chef. Breidi, Brad, and all the staff made our stay memorable. Don't miss the chance to stay here.
