The washing machine in the unit was a real bonus, as was the full-size oven. The units are older, but very good value. I loved having coffee on the deck with the harbor view. Thank you, Chris, we really enjoyed our stay!

Chris was great and happy to answer questions about the area. AI-Louise is clean, tidy and comfortably set up, with a view from every apartment. It’s also close to the center of Mangōnui, just a short walk along the waterside path to shops, pubs and a couple of cafés. A great place to stay.

We only found this affordable Māngonui place because a friend recommended it, and what a hidden gem. The apartments are older, but very clean and tidy, with a fabulous location and some great places to eat an easy walk away. Thanks for a really pleasant stay in Māngonui. Hope to be back. Ka kite.

Get up early for sunrise over the harbour, it’s lovely. Al-Louise is a small group of older one-bedroom units in a quiet part of Mangōnui Village, just across the road from the water. The units are clean, comfortable and quiet, and Chris keeps them spic and span. Eateries, the pub and the famous Mangōnui Fish Shop are an easy walk along the waterfront boardwalk.

The apartment was spotless and comfortable, and it felt like home. The hosts are caring, friendly and lovely. There are beaches and other towns nearby for eating out or shopping. A lovely place to stop or spend a holiday, and I’ll definitely visit again.
