The Kauri Museum and cafe are so handy, and it’s a great spot for exploring Dargaville and the Kai Iwi lakes. We had everything we needed in our clean, well-appointed motel-style unit. The surroundings were lovely and peaceful. We stayed two nights and would recommend it.

A smaller camp and caravan site, and a little dated, but it has what you need: a well-equipped kitchen, laundry, showers and toilets. The new owner was pleasant and keen to make upgrades going forward.

We only stayed one night in our campervan, but the peaceful outlook was lovely. The grounds were beautifully maintained and the amenities spotless.

We ended up staying three nights and would have happily stayed longer if the weather hadn’t turned. The campground was quiet, with generous sections and plenty of room to camp, plus awesome views. It’s an easy walk to the Kauri Museum and Cafe. The new owners were friendly and helpful, and the grounds and facilities were clean and tidy. We’d been eyeing the place for a while, and loved our first stay. It’s such a relaxing spot. Thanks again for having us, we’ll be back.

We stayed one night in our camper at Site 13, which has a lovely view across the bay. The landscaping is beautiful and everything was very clean and tidy. Nights were absolutely quiet, with no traffic roar, and we woke to lots of birds. The new owner also told us about the upgrades planned.
