The boys got out kayaking for a bit, and next time we’ll have to try fishing. They supply the equipment. We were six in the family and stayed one night at the Lodge, though you really need at least three nights. There was a warm fire waiting when we arrived. The kitchen is spacious, and the green area facing the river would be lovely in summer. It’s a terrific facility for families, with room to spend time together, have your own space, and dine together if you want. Thank you, Anna and Ian.

We spent our honeymoon here because my wife had always wanted to try glamping, and it went well beyond what we expected. We WILL be back. The place is so peaceful and beautiful. We swam in the river, kayaked down to the beach, tried fishing, and had romantic baths by the river. Such a lovely stay.

We’ll be back to this magical, peaceful retreat from the rush of everyday life. It’s on a pristine river full of fish, and my partner even caught a snapper off the deck. You can kayak to your own private white sand beach too.

Even with all the rain, this was my idea of a perfect holiday. There was nature, a river, beach, fishing, and such peaceful surroundings. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable, and the hosts were friendly. Definitely a 10 out of 10.

The magic cottage was such a great escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. My husband and I had the best time, and the hosts were lovely, welcoming, and so helpful. We hope to return!
