Marek and Cathie were lovely, knowledgeable hosts, and the lodge was beautifully clean and extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, and the tasty breakfast and fire in the common area each afternoon and evening made it a lovely stay. Eateries and shops in Methven are an easy walk away. The ski bus also picks you up and drops you right at the front door. Thanks again for having us :)

The rooms were comfortable enough, but in winter it was always freezing, and there wasn't much for the price. The kitchen was iffy, especially with more than three or four people using it. WiFi costs 50 dollars for a month and is VERY slow, so be warned. Parking is limited, though there's plenty of on-street parking. The facilities are nice enough, but the owners were sour and unpleasant to deal with. Maybe it's decent in spring or summer.

The friendly owners do their best to help, and the comfortable rooms made our stay at Breckinridge lodge a real delight. They made staying in methven very pleasant.

It's an easy commute from this friendly lodge to Mt Hutt. My only slight niggle is that the room heaters run on a one-hour timer, though they heat up very quickly.
