MnM's BnB

Mike and Maree were wonderful hosts, and we were warmly welcomed. A bottle of wine was waiting for us, and we chose only a small part of the delicious breakfast options. We also had several interesting, informative conversations with Mike, who works from home. The accommodation is a spacious, open plan, self contained apartment in a private home, with tastefully eclectic decor, a good sized bathroom, and a verandah looking across the bay. Calling it a B & B in Englush terms feels like underselling it. Napier is a mere 5/10 minutes’ walk away. The steep climb down into town and back up may be a bonus for some and a downside for others. It was fine in the daytime, but during the 2 damp evenings out of our 3 night stay, we chose not to walk it and didn’t drive either. A perfect stay at the beautiful home of Maree and Mike, thoroughly recommended.

The guest suite was comfortable and well equipped, and the complimentary bottle of local wine was a nice touch. Napier town centre is easy to reach on foot from this centrally located accommodation. Marie and Mike were welcoming and friendly, always up for a chat or offering ideas for the day or evening. Dougal the dog was a firm favourite of mine too. We’d recommend MnM's to everyone.

Our room was fantastic, and Mike and Maree couldn’t have been more helpful as hosts. Everything about the stay was great. It was our favourite place on a four week tour of New Zealand.

We only had 1 night with Marie and Mike and wished we could have stayed longer. The welcome was so warm, and our beautifully styled room had a balcony with stunning sea views. We walked down the hill for dinner, and the little climb back up did us good. Breakfast was a yummy continental spread with fruit, cereal, waffles, and good coffee. Would definitely recommend, and hope we can return sometime.
