Navigate Seaside Hotel

Our family suite had plenty of space for four, and the little kitchenette came in handy. The hotel isn’t new, but it’s pleasant, very clean, and has sea views. We slept so well in the comfy beds and were very happy with our stay. We’d definitely come back.

There’s an access door from the hotel’s first floor into Ahuriri Kitchen Cafe, which made grabbing morning coffee and food really easy. The hotel sits across the road from the beach, The Boardwalk cafe, and a park. Sri Thai restaurant is less than a five-minute walk on flat ground, and the food was delicious. The booking team and manager were helpful and knew the area well. Our ground-floor room was spacious, with its own outdoor table, and had plenty of storage to tuck away our suitcases.

The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was good. I’d ask for an ocean-front room. If you’re booking a Stafford Studio, request a level 3 room with a balcony. Level 1 has no view, and its deck is shared with four other rooms.

We arrived in Napier on Friday without a plan for where to stay, so we called. They were very accommodating and found us a third-floor studio with a king bed. It was modern, clean, quiet, and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed and a lovely view, even though it wasn’t beachfront. The shower pressure was as good as ours at home, and the bed was the best we’ve ever had in a hotel. We’ll stay here again next time we’re in Napier. 10/10.
