The owners were super friendly, and Preeti gave us all the tourist information we needed for a great trip. The family suite was huge for the four of us, with two kids, and it was extremely clean and reasonably priced. We had a kitchenette, a jacuzzi in the main room, and a balcony with full, uninterrupted beach views. I’d definitely stay again. It beats an overpriced, small hotel chain in a major city any day. The three-bedroom house is huge and has decent beds and a big spa bath. There’s one air-con remote for the upstairs room and lounge. The dated decor and dirty, old carpet let it down, though. Most rooms apparently face the ocean, but ours was at the back facing the car park, so don’t book the three-bedroom house if you want a sea view. Google lists this as five-star, but I’m not sure what the NZ requirements are, and this place didn’t feel close to five-star. Overall, it was okay.

Our room was huge and very well appointed, and it was good value. The location gives you a lovely outlook, a beautiful beach nearby, and just a short walk to the city centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The beach view was amazing, and the spa in the room was a welcome bonus after a big day of travelling. I really enjoyed my stay, with comfortable beds and a warm environment. Loved it 💯

The ocean view from our room was fantastic, but the room itself was very worn and basic. The hotel covers the basic amenities, though it’s in dire need of refurbishment. The staff weren’t rude, but they weren’t very welcoming either. It was basically check-in, hand over the keys, and that was it.
