SH6 has heavy traffic passing all day and night, including lorries, and we could hear it even with the windows shut. We’d specifically asked for a room as far from the road as possible, but were given one only two rooms away. They moved us to 306 the next day, which was much better, though it was a studio rather than a suite. That room had also been refurbished more recently, so the decor was nicer.

Jackie really stood out, so friendly, welcoming and always ready to help. The rooms were clean and tidy, and we were very comfortable. The location was great for exploring Nelson, close to everything we wanted to see. We had a wonderful stay at Beaches Nelson and highly recommend it.

We got quite a bit of road noise from our room, but otherwise it was awesome. The bedroom had a massive TV with Sky, and there was a big smart TV in the living area. I wish the smart TV had been in the bedroom instead, since the couch wasn’t that comfy and there never seems to be anything on Sky TV, but I digress.

The room was super clean, and the courtyard parking off the road was a nice bonus. We were put in a bigger room instead of the studio without even asking, which made things more comfortable. The spa bath was great too. Our room wasn’t near the road, which other reviews said could be noisy, so that was all good. Thanks for the upgrade!

I stayed for six nights without any issues and would definitely come back. The rooms are warm and well equipped, with air conditioning and two TVs, one in the living area and one in the bedroom. Netflix is available on the living room TV, and there’s a nice spa with other amenities too. Manager Jacquie was welcoming, kind and approachable, and the service exceeded expectations. Food, the beach and lookouts are nearby.
