Kathy and Hec made us feel so welcome, and the spacious studio was clean. We could use their whole backyard, where the enormous eel in the stream kept us entertained. The location was great too, with three beaches just a short walk away. Eateries, a grocery store, and a gas station were right down the street, so everything we needed was close. A perfect place to end our holiday.

The beaches and bays were just bliss, and we even managed a romantic walk from Murray's Bay to Mairangi bay before we left. My husband and I had the best time and really didn’t want to go. Kathy is staying in my contacts forever, and we still keep in touch. She and Hec are everything you could want in hosts. Whitby Studio is gorgeous, spotless, and equipped with everything you’d need for a short or long stay. All kinds of amenities are only about a two-minute walk away. We felt right at home. Thanks again to the best hosts in the world!

We’ve stayed at The Whitby Studio twice now. It’s just like the photos, quiet and comfortable, close to the beach, and equipped with everything you might need. The owners are lovely people. The kids especially enjoy going to see the eels in the creek. We’ll definitely return and recommend the place to anyone.

We stayed for two weeks and found the studio peaceful and very comfortable, a lovely place to relax. It’s fully furnished, with a nice kitchen, living area, bedroom space, bathroom, and even a washing machine. The studio is beneath the owners’ main house, surrounded by a beautiful garden, and about five minutes from Mairangi Bay beach. The owners are wonderful people, hospitable and helpful. We’re so glad we met them and really appreciate them ☺️

Hec and Kathy were so welcoming and simply wonderful hosts. The studio was spotless, had everything we needed and more, and was in gorgeous Mairangi Bay. We especially appreciated the little extras waiting in the fridge when we arrived, including wine, chocolate, and milk. The linen was lovely quality, and the bed felt new and very comfortable. There’s plenty more I could say, but I’ll leave it there.
