Jennie made us feel so welcome at Gumtree Farmstay. We had a wonderful time at this charming home, and both the farm tour and breakfast were a treat. It was an absolutely magical experience!

It was an easy 15-20 minute drive to Oamaru city centre and the “blue penguin colony”. The farm safari, offered between 15:00-17:00, was a lovely chance to get close to the animals: sheep, pig, alpaca, cattle, shepherd, chickens and ducks. We really enjoyed it. Our room was neat and cosy, breakfast was tasty, and the bathroom was clean and spacious, with a huge bathtub. Jennie was friendly, nice and easy to talk to. We had a great time there.

The continental breakfast was scrumptious, and I’m so glad I managed to book a night here. The farm tour is a must do. Jennie kindly showed my children how to feed the different animals and explained how her farm works. Hope to come back again!

We added the farm dinner to our stay, and our room was very comfortable. Jennie was a delightful host, and we arrived in time for a super farm tour. A perfect stopover on the edge of Oamaru. Many thanks to our host, 100%!

Jenny and her family were so warm and welcoming, and I really appreciated getting a day in the life of a farmer. The furry animals were lovely. Their dogs were awesome, and the kids spent hours playing with them.
