Marilyn was such a wonderful host, and I’d gladly recommend Absolute Bliss for a holiday break. We loved our stay there. The apartment had everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable, and the view was amazing.

Our four days in Paihia were the end of a two-week New Zealand holiday, and we chose Absolute Bliss Apartments because they sounded luxurious. They lived up to it. The apartments are spacious and Marilyn keeps them immaculate. Set on a hillside, both have magnificent views over Paihia, with big balconies and outdoor seating where we enjoyed the peaceful setting on warm evenings. Marilyn welcomed us on arrival and was kind, sincere, and helpful throughout. Getting up the driveway looked a little daunting at first, but the lovely lift takes luggage to the second floor, and the walk up and down became easier each day. We even got reacquainted with some leg muscles we hadn’t used in years. The main street is just in front of the driveway, with restaurants and the water’s edge only minutes away. Marilyn shared her home with us, and those holiday memories will stay with us. We can’t wait to come back.

The apartment opened onto a deck where we had breakfast and a little happy hour before dinner. It was comfortable and well appointed. Absolute Bliss is in a quiet spot with wide sea views and birds around, yet shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Marilyn was friendly and helpful, and her local knowledge made it easy to book a cruise and fishing trip.

The view is spectacular, and Marilyn was so friendly that we felt at ease right away. The room had everything we needed, a comfortable bed, and great air conditioning. It was peaceful despite being close to town, with the wharf and local shops just down the road. We had a wonderful stay at Absolute Bliss.

We left Absolute Bliss Apartments smiling and would recommend it to visitors. Our Platinum Suite felt worth the price. The views are gorgeous and it’s right in the heart of Paihia. Hostess Marylin King made us feel at home and shared helpful ideas about what to do and see. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, served on our deck overlooking the Bay of islands. We couldn’t log on to the free, fast Wi-Fi at first, but Marylin sorted it out quickly. There’s also always a glass of wine waiting for you.
