White Horse Inn Restaurant & Motel

The building and shared kitchen and bathroom could do with an update, though everything was clean, tidy, and worked well for the nightly price. My room got hot, and a fan would have helped. TV is free only, but the Wi-Fi is unlimited, and the building and car park felt very secure. There’s a supermarket close by, and Palmerston North’s outskirts are about a six-minute drive away. I’ve booked again and would come back.

We were staying across the road in a book a bach and chose to eat at White Horse Inn. The staff made us feel welcome and were as helpful and accommodating as could be.

We spent five nights at this motel last week, and the rooms, kitchen, bathroom, and toilet were all neat and tidy. It was quiet at night, and we had a wonderful stay. Kuldeep made it especially welcoming, always greeting us with a pleasant smile, answering our questions, and checking that we were comfortable. The breakfast options were really nice. One thing to know if you rely on public transport: there are only two bus services (401), going into the city in the morning and returning in the evening. I highly recommend the motel to anyone planning a future booking.

My wife and I are here for our second stay, having come from Hamilton while she studies at uni. The staff are so friendly, patient, and polite, and they're always ready to help. They even let me check out late so I wouldn't be stuck at the uni for hours with nothing to do. They make sure your stay is pleasant, and it's a delight being around them. Breakfast is wonderful, the beds are comfy, and the atmosphere is lovely. It's only a 14-minute drive to uni, which is handy for students. Some of the reviews here seem misguided. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.
