The view was so good we kept adding nights. We arrived planning to stay for one, changed that to two as soon as we saw it, then booked another night on checkout day. Our room was clean and tidy, with our own BBQ and spa outside. The spa was awesome, even in the rain, and there’s another well-kept, shaded BBQ area with tables. Town wasn’t far, either. The price was hard to beat, especially with a spa outside the room. We’ve paid more at other motels for less. The service was awesome, nothing was too much trouble, and the people were lovely and friendly, right down to the gorgeous cat. Thumbs up for this place. It felt like a home away from home, and we’ll definitely be back.

After soaking up the sun, we enjoyed the hot tub. The friendly tabby who hangs around, whom we named Jacob, was a total gentleman, though he didn’t join us in the water. This is honestly one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed, with excellent service. I love it and would recommend it to anyone going to Raglan.

The staff were friendly, and the stay was fairly quiet and comfortable. Sleep was a bit restless because there was no fan or air con in the bedroom. The air con in the main room could reach the bedroom if you left the door open.

The grounds and facilities were nice, and the hosts were very good and helpful. Our unit had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Being able to bring our small dog was a bonus, and we’ll stay again next time we’re back in Raglan.

Tania, who runs the place, was very helpful and great to deal with. The rooms were spacious, with a heat pump and super-comfortable bedding. There’s a barbecue, a hot water tub and a lush green lawn, and a nearby wharf where we had fun kayaking. The location is magnificent, with a beautiful view of the lake beside it. Five stars for this hotel.
