Anglesea House Inn

The garden and backyard are lovely, and the house has a really cute feel. Reshma was kind and accommodating throughout our stay at Anglesea House B&B. Our room was roomy and comfortable. It didn’t have its own en-suite, but the shared bathroom was spotless and directly opposite. Breakfast was delicious, and borrowing bikes made it easy to get around to the wineries.

We had Anglesea house to ourselves, just the four of us, which was great. The house is gorgeous, and the gardens are even prettier. Our rooms were spacious, with that lovely English countryside feel. We stayed last October with my brother and sister-in-law and had a wonderful time. Reshma was helpful with winery suggestions and planning a route. There are four bikes at the house, and we rode them to wineries, though two needed attention: one had a rusty chain and another had a gear shift stuck. It’d be nice to have a couple of board games in the sitting room, too. The sitting room is lovely and has tea, coffee, and a few snacks. One downside was that the kitchen is locked in the evenings for insurance purposes, so we couldn’t make a grilled cheese late at night. We’d definitely stay again, and hope the bikes get checked so they’re in top shape.

Reshma was fantastic and thoughtful, and I’d highly recommend staying here for wine tours. The house is right among the wineries, and they provided bicycles and helmets for free. We spent two nights and found everything excellent, from the beds and full Irish breakfast to the shared seating area and garden. It’s a very cute, well-equipped house.

There’s plenty of parking, and bikes are available if you need them. It’s close to Renwick “downtown,” with a grocery store, coffee shop, bakery, gas station, and several great wineries nearby. A charming, postcard-like BnB, with a friendly, warm, knowledgeable and accommodating host.
