Hugo and Carter's Lodge Rotorua NZ

There was so much to enjoy, from the books to the snacks and drinks, and everything helped make our stay comfortable. The lodge is beautifully presented, with gorgeous furniture. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay, have told all my friends about it, and can't wait to come back.

We'd definitely come back. Hugo and Carters lodge was spotless, cosy and stylish, with thoughtful details throughout. It's in a fantastic, easy-to-find location. The owners were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable. I highly recommend Hugo & Carter’s lodge.

Late February was really humid, and the place doesn't have air conditioning, so that's where I took off a star. Still, it's a clean, tidy base for exploring Rotorua, just a five-minute drive from downtown. There's a coffee machine, treats, and a shared lounge with the other room if anyone's staying there.

You'll want a car, as it's a little out of the way. Finding it can be hard, and you should have a phone to call the owner for the entry code. Once there, the room and bathroom are spacious and well equipped, and the shared living room with its open chimney is fantastic. A cool place to stay.
