The views were magical, and the setting was quiet and peaceful. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel at home. The house felt warm and was clearly cared for. We would absolutely recommend staying here.

We spent a few nights at Ron & Lesley's Karanda Lodge in early November 2025, and the two of them made it feel like home. Even from the first hello, you could tell how much they care about their B&B. They made sure guests had a lovely time in a way that felt natural. Each evening we chatted and laughed with the other guests in the shared space or on the wonderful terrace overlooking Rotorua. The lodge itself was impeccable, with a great view from above Rotorua. Breakfast was fantastic each morning, made with care and fresh fruit. Lesley & Ron were glad to help whenever we wanted suggestions or support. What a lovely couple. We had a really memorable stay.

The rooms were nice, the views were great, and breakfast was both delicious and generous. The owners were very friendly, and they even offered to back our car down their winding driveway if we wanted. A great bed and breakfast.
