Shulas Lake House

We were very comfortable and loved the location and the view. The problem was arriving in the late afternoon to find no food had been supplied.

Leaving was hard after such a pleasant stay. Gini and Bob made the whole experience so nice. Five stars hardly seems enough, and I’ll definitely come back.

The lake right in front of the property is beautiful, and the owners are lovely. You can feel how much they care about their home. It’s about a 10-minute drive to downtown Rotorua, 10-15 minutes to downtown Parkinsave, and around 18 minutes to Redwood. This is my favorite place I stayed in New Zealand. I’ve been to plenty of B&Bs and hotels around the world, and haven’t found anywhere better than the Shulas'. The accommodation, breakfast and views are hard to match. If you’re considering a Rotorua trip, book here. I’m sure you’ll love it, and I’d stay again without hesitation.

We had a lovely overnight stay, with a spacious room and bathroom. The garden was large, with a hot tub and comfortable sunbeds, and we could enjoy a beautiful view over the lake. Breakfast was delicious.
