Marion was such a gracious and helpful hostess. The two cottages are roomy, with decks looking out over a peaceful pond edged by trees and flowering shrubs, and there were all sorts of songbirds around. We cooked for ourselves in the well-equipped kitchens, since meals aren't provided. Pondsiders was one of the best parts of our three-week New Zealand road trip.

We really didn't want to leave this beautiful spot. It was the highlight of our trip, and I'd highly recommend it.
