Acacia Heights Gardens

David and Heather were wonderful hosts, and the location made it easy to get into Taupo and explore nearby. We came with friends for a long weekend and especially enjoyed the garden views, relaxing and stargazing in the spa, and the really comfortable rooms and beds. I'm sure I'll come back.

The super king bed, bedding, and pillows made for a great night's sleep. David and Heather have thoughtfully put together both the cottage and the guest experience, including a useful guidebook that helped us find our way around Cherry Tree cottage and explore Taupo and its surrounds. Such a private, peaceful, pristine spot. We'll definitely return.

Heather and David live on site and were amazing hosts. We were grateful to spend time in their home and garden, and left feeling relaxed and inspired. We'll book with them again if we plan another trip to Taupō. The home is tucked away in Acacia Bay, Taupō, with lovely views of the lake and main township, a stunning garden, and well-equipped en-suite rooms. The terrace and Cabana were perfect for coffee on a warm morning. There aren't cooking facilities, which suited us since we planned to eat out for all three days and two nights. Basic meal prep without cooking, plus tea and coffee, was well covered.

The owners were lovely, welcoming, considerate, and so well-mannered. They made a point of remembering our names and treated us like family friends. The place was clean and comfortable, with a gorgeous garden for stargazing. We got some amazing astrophotography shots, especially enjoying the view from the nice spa pool. Highly recommend, and we'd come back!
