Chantillys Motor Lodge

A lovely place, with tidy rooms that were well stocked with tea, coffee and hot chocolate. There were plenty of amenities, and the towels were delightful after a shower or a swim. The staff were helpful, though there was a bit of a communication barrier and patience was needed.

On 17th December, I booked a room for one night on 1/1/26 and was told clearly that confirmation would arrive before 25th December. When I called on 26th December to check, they said they had no record of my booking. I had followed their instructions and sent a text when booking, and I have call records and message proof. The staff member wouldn't listen or check properly. They were rude and dismissive, repeating that there was no reservation. When I calmly asked what could be done, I was told they “can't do anything.” There was no effort to resolve it or take responsibility. I tried calling again to sort it out, but my calls kept getting disconnected and then were ignored. This was stressful and unacceptable service. Losing a booking and treating customers so disrespectfully is not okay. I warn others not to trust this place with a reservation. Avoid it.

The price is seriously too high for what you get. My first room hadn't been cleaned, with rubbish left there and the bed unmade. I was moved, but somehow the next room was even worse. The staff were nice, but the rooms are dated, and the $250 currently listed on booking dot com is insane. This place isn't worth the money.

They fitted us in at the last minute without any fuss, which we really appreciated. The service was lovely, and the rooms were tidy and clean, just right for our one night stopover. Good amenities too.
