Huka Lodge, Beckons

The manager and guest relations team went far beyond what we expected when we got into a bind. We’d left wedding clothes at the accommodation from the previous night, and they arranged to collect them and have them back in our room overnight. That saved us a four-hour return drive. The staff were friendly and capable throughout our two days at Huka Lodge, from arrival to checkout. The food was really good, the atmosphere was amazing, and both the accommodation and gardens were first class and suited the setting. Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful stay.

The riverside setting is spectacular, and the lodge’s renovation has made it even better by extending the outdoor deck. This was our second stay at Huka Lodge, and it didn’t disappoint. The food and service were Michelin-worthy.

We only wish we could have stayed longer. The location is beautiful, serene, and peaceful, and the rooms are spacious and feel like home. The food was delicious, all natural and healthy. Every person working here was amazing, kind, polite, and always smiling. They remembered our names, too. We’d definitely come back for a longer stay. ❤️

The staff are what make Huka Lodge so special. Every person went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing stay. Dinner was breathtaking, with gorgeous set menus from a star of a chef and matching wines. We certainly didn’t go hungry. The rooms were spectacular, with lovely details, a minibar restocked every day with wines, and wonderful bathroom amenities. We could sit for hours looking through the doors at the river. The lodge is in a beautiful location, and the quality of everything on offer makes it a real gem. My husband and I are already planning to return.
