Lakeside Villas Resort

The rooms have everything you need, and the location is great, close to town and right opposite the lake edge. There’s also a spa, sauna, table tennis, darts, snooker, an indoor heated pool, a library, and more.

The location is great, but the complex overall looks very tired and needs an upgrade. It doesn’t seem to have had much done since the 90s, apart from one bathroom. We stayed in Villa 09 through a time share. At first it looked clean and tidy, but a closer look turned up cobwebs around the window sills. The seal under the shower door was filthy with black mold and gunk, and the lounge chair armrests were marked with dirt and worn. The pull-out couch was very uncomfortable to sit on, and I think its springs have gone. On day 2 we used the villa’s spa pool, but the water smelled awful. We reported it to reception and were told someone would empty it and put in fresh water that day. That never happened. The big pool was dirty too.

I own two weeks of timeshare here and absolutely love it. The resort is well maintained and managed, with good facilities, and the units are comfortable with the usual amenities. It’s a lovely location for a “cheap” holiday. The best part is not having to worry: move in, enjoy yourself, and leave refreshed at the end of the week. I’d recommend ownership to anyone looking for that.

It’s a very nice place to stay and very family friendly. I’ve been coming here for over 30 years, and if you’re staying with your fees paid, everything is nice. But DO NOY BUY! If you want to sell or will the ownership after you pass away, these fees are a financial millstone around your or your loved ones’ neck forever. There’s no way out of ownership, not even by giving it away. The management company hasn’t returned my messages or emails, and I’ve been trying for 6 months. Let’s see if a 1-star review helps. The only time you hear from them is when yearly fees are due, and then they tell you that you might not be the kind of person they want as an owner. Please don’t buy into this place. You might use it, but you’ll be putting an endless burden on your loved ones.
