The air conditioning worked, which was lucky because the heater only blew cold air. The lounge light was out, and the only couch was small, uncomfortable, and well past its best. In the bathroom, there was a bit of plastic stuck to the bath and the curtain was too small. We also found no teaspoons and a cracked wine glass. We wouldn’t recommend this resort. Without the air conditioning, it would have been a very cold stay.

We stayed over Kings Birthday weekend 2026, and the room was freezing with damp carpets. It was right across from the office/reception, and there was no heat. Just disappointing. I wouldn’t go back.

The location was amazing, and the woman at reception was lovely, helpful, and easy to deal with. I enjoyed the holiday overall, but the accommodation let it down badly. The photos online gave us the wrong impression, and we didn’t feel we got what we paid for. The full-size double beds were two beds pushed together and very uncomfortable. The shower looked decades old and swung between boiling water and nothing, with less pressure than the hose outside. I’m also worried there may be bed bugs. We slept on top of the bedding, but my partner and I came home with around 15-20 bites, which has never happened at the house we’ve lived in for six years. I have a photo of the shower because it doesn’t appear online anywhere. It’s sad, since the shower is one of the things you expect to be good.

The quiet was the one real advantage, but the beds weren’t comfortable. I wish we’d known the place was for sale, because it seemed like the current owners didn’t care. It wasn’t clean or tidy, and there was dirt and bugs on the shower floor. We chose it for the cooking facilities, but there weren’t enough utensils, no oven tray, and the oven still had baking paper from the last person’s cooking. The food we’d bought ended up wasted.
