The shower had amazing pressure, and there were lots of appliances for cooking. The pool couldn't be used because the recent storm had damaged part of it, but Anne-Marie arranged a concession for the local pools. The views and service were fantastic, and we'd absolutely stay again. My husband and I spent two nights here over Waitangi weekend. It's a lovely little place with all the basics plus extras. The fridge was stocked for breakfast with bacon, cheese, salmon, eggs, seeded bread, butter and margarine, cow's and almond milk, jams, yoghurt, and juice. There were also a couple of cereals, tinned peaches and baked beans, plus oils and some spices in the cupboard. The sweet treats, tiramisu and cheesecake, were beautiful. I did miss having a savoury spread like peanut butter, Vegemite, or Marmite for toast. Anne-Marie was only an email, text, or phone call away if we needed anything, but otherwise you wouldn't know she was around. We asked for a little more bread for the next morning, and since we weren't in, it was left outside in a covered basket.

The cottage is separate from the house and a little old fashioned, but it was very comfortable. The king size bed was especially good, with lovely crisp linen. The kitchen had so much food stocked in it that it blew us away, and the fireplace had been set ready to light. I'd definitely stay again.

The hills have amazing views and beautiful sunsets, and the cottage has a working fireplace for the chilly nights. It's an older place but very clean, and the host was a delight. When we arrived, the fridge was full of fresh food, including eggs from her own chickens, and she even brought us homemade cake and bread. Highly recommend staying here while spending time in the Coromandel area.

Pauline and Denise made us feel right at home, and my husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. The views were beautiful, and breakfast was beyond what we expected. If you're heading to Coromandel, this is a wonderful place to stay. We'll be back sometime soon.

Chartre Manor made our babymoon feel extra special. The people there were so welcoming and friendly, the place is absolutely beautiful, and breakfast was excellent. You can tell they take pride in the service and really enjoy what they do. Best getaway ever!
