The staff are lovely and do what they can. The place is dated, though, and some rooms have paper-thin walls. Its one advantage is being a bit out of the way, which suits night shift workers.

They sorted out a key and fresh milk for us since we were arriving late. The room was spacious and comfortable enough on a chilly night, with an electric blanket and heater. Parking worked well for our trailer. It’s not the fanciest place, but we’d stay again.

The room was clean, basic, and big enough for three, and for the price it was good value. The towels were fluffy and clean, the shower pressure was fine, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. We’re fussy about bedding and were glad we’d brought our own pillows, since there were no spares. Service was okay, though it would have been handy to have milk in the fridge instead of having to ask. The place is dated, from the building to the furnishings, so don’t come expecting luxury. What really bothered us was the kitchen window, which had no curtain or blind and looked straight toward the bed. It felt creepy. Other guests have mentioned it too. It would be an easy, inexpensive fix, but it left me wondering whether someone might like to peep at guests. I’d strongly urge the owners to sort it out before it causes them serious trouble.

The alpacas were the only good part. The room smelled damp and moldy, there was insect dust on top of the fridge and cupboards, and the heat pump didn’t work. When we brought it up, the owner rudely said our expectations were too high and told us to clean it ourselves or leave. He was very rude throughout.
