Sue was fantastic and really accommodating. The stylish lodge was super clean, with comfy beds. It’s a special, quiet, peaceful place away from the crowds, right at the south edge of Lake Taupo, and a great location for doing the Tongariro crossing. We highly recommend it.

This was one of my favourite places to stay on our three-week trip. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped, the place was super clean, and there were laundry facilities. Great service and care of the grounds, too. It’s an amazing location, about a 35-40 minute drive to Whakapapa village and the most incredible trails and scenery on the planet.

The owner was very kind and showed me around. The room was awesome, and the bed was so nice. The views are breathtaking and everything was perfect. Highly recommend. If I come back to NZ, I’ll definitely stay here again.

We stayed for one night during the EventsHub road trip across New Zealand. The lodge is in a stunning location, with lakeside views through the big windows. The rooms, kitchen, and bathrooms were very good, and the guest-friendly self-service setup makes it great for a night or longer. Shops are relatively far away, so it’s handy to have something to cook for breakfast in the morning.

The one-bedroom unit was well equipped and competitively priced when we booked directly. It was peaceful and relaxing, with a beautiful lake view from the room. The location is great, and it’s only a short drive to the local hot pools. Highly recommend.
