The common areas were a real surprise: the living room, kitchen and pool were great, and felt like more than I expected for the price. I only needed urgent, affordable accommodation after a mechanical breakdown left me stranded, so I called Warkworth Lodge while waiting for a tow truck. They had a small room with a shared bathroom that was perfectly acceptable for what I paid. When I needed to stay a second night, that room was already booked. They moved me to a very nice room with an ensuite and TV, but still charged me the lower rate for the small room. I went from being stuck on the roadside to having a lovely, stress-free place to stay.

We had a last-minute room emergency after a disaster with Camplify, and Michelle was so welcoming. I called the lodge late at night, and she stayed up for our very late arrival. The room was amazing, and the place was beautiful, clean and tidy. I highly recommend it. Thanks so much, Michelle.

The room was clean, with good lighting and wifi, and the location was a plus. But there was no fridge, and the old building has no soundproofing. The main reason I wouldn’t recommend it or stay again is that a smoke detector with a low battery kept me awake all night. I didn’t receive a refund.

We stayed in the family suite with our two young boys. The room was cozy, though we spent most of our time in the lovely shared lounge, living area and kitchen. The boys kept going between the spa pool and the pool. Michell and the other staff were welcoming and helpful. It’s a beautiful, cozy colonial-style hotel, and we’ll definitely come back.

I came across this lovely hotel by accident on my way south and was pleasantly surprised by what it had. The large kitchen and living spaces felt homely, with really comfortable sofas. There was even a swimming pool and hot tub. The staff were super lovely, the bed was nice, and the toilet and shower came with toiletries.
