We checked in on Friday 15th August 2025 at 3:30pm, and the woman who greeted us was extremely rude. She pointed to our room, a tiny tin box, and said, "I guess you are in there." The room was dirty and colder inside than outside. A tiny wall-mounted oil heater was only lukewarm and couldn't be turned up; the blanket was so thin that we'd have had to sleep in our ski gear and still would've been freezing. The advertised spa and heated pool weren't working. The pool was completely covered and looked like it hadn't been operating for a long time. We couldn't find the woman to tell her we couldn't stay because we'd freeze overnight, so we checked out and found somewhere else after a long day on the mountain. The property is now saying we are lying and didn't check in, while we're asking for a full refund. We have photo proof we were there. I'm writing to warn others. They are falsely advertised on booking.com. Look them up on TripAdvisor and under the previous name Tongariro suites on Google. They've changed their name and deleted Google reviews, and you'll see the tone of the owner. DO NOT STAY HERE. If I could give this property less than one star I would.

A really good B&B, super clean and tidy. Perfect for our snowboarding trip. We'll be back soon.
