We stayed two nights on our honeymoon road trip through NZ and felt at home right away thanks to the very hospitable owner. We were there over New Year’s, and a BBQ with the owner’s family and the other guests was a great experience. The location is remote, a nice change from the cities and what you’d expect in a national park. The rooms feel more luxurious than a usual B&B, with views of Mount Ruapehu from bed. We’d stay again when we try the Tongariro crossing, which we had to abandon after rain and bad conditions.

Our room was comfortable and clean, although it took a bit of finding at first. Breakfast was fine, and the host was very friendly. We spent two days near Christmas at Tongariro Suites and loved the quiet, peaceful setting among beautiful nature. It was perfect for reading, relaxing and recharging. I’d definitely come back.

Breakfast was simple, just enough to start the day, and the host was friendly and helpful. We spent three days at Tongariro Suites and found the peaceful property and clean, modern, good-sized rooms very comfortable. Waking up to Mt. Ruapehu was beautiful. We’d consider returning.

The host was friendly and helpful, and breakfast had a good range of well-prepared choices. We had such a nice three-day stay at Tongariro Suites. The place was peaceful, the modern rooms were tidy and a decent size, and waking up with beautiful Mt. Ruapehu right in front of us was amazing. We’ll definitely come back.

Mandy was so accommodating and went out of her way to make our stay just right. The hospitality made it feel homely, and the food was delicious. We had a lovely time at Tongariro Suites.
