After a long day on the road, the little personal touches and bottled water were especially welcome. Everything was clean, tidy and well equipped, and it was just right for what we needed. We only had two towels for three people, so one more would've been nice, but we got through the night, ha ha.

I slept really well, which matters a lot to me, and the bed was great. The studio was spotless, nicely set up, and comfortable for winding down after driving all day. Staff at the Gateway Motor Lodge were consistently pleasant, considerate and helpful with information. I'd recommend it to anyone needing a place to stay in Whanganui.

I've been back here many times and the rooms are still the cleanest I've stayed in. There's bread for toast in the morning and snacks in the room, but the warm, friendly service is what keeps surprising me. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay and thought it was great value. The unit was very clean and well equipped, with a fabulous bathroom. Our host was especially friendly and helpful, and even left chocolates and a handmade card for Valentine's Day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Eleven out of ten. We felt welcome straight away, and the welcome sheet even had weather warnings. There were snacks and toast too. Thanks, team, we'll come again.
