Nothing but birdsong, and such a peaceful spot about 10 minutes' drive from the city. We had a brilliant long weekend, and the place made it even better. The hosts have set up the batch so you can make your own plans while exploring Whanganui. The garden and lawn are immaculate, and the swing ball kept us laughing and moving. Inside, it's got all the comforts and appliances of home, a great deck and layout, a wood burner for when you want to get warm and cosy, and a smart TV loaded with apps for relaxing with a drink. The shower pressure was great too.

The garden is beautifully cared for, and the bedrooms are immaculate. Such a warm, cosy lounge, the wood burner makes it a great winter retreat after a day out. The host is exceptional and has thought of absolutely everything, including about six kinds of tea, several coffees and drinking chocolate. It would be hard to find a better place. I'll recommend it to everyone I know travelling to Wanganui.

Our hosts were incredibly helpful and thoughtful when we were going through a difficult time. The Cosy Batch is such a beautiful, warm and welcoming home. I'd highly recommend staying here and look forward to coming back.

A really charming, welcoming place for me and six others. We arrived very late, but the owners had made up our beds and left fresh milk, organic eggs, tea and coffee for us. Pretty cool spot.

Four stars from me for the owner's generosity and how comfortable and easy this place is to use. The tourism links are doing well with this little gem. Well done, Matt. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent stay.
