The staff at reception were really nice, and the city and ocean view from a room facing that side was amazing. It's close to town, though up a steep hill; there's a set of stairs near the top that makes the climb manageable. The free breakfast was nothing special, but it was included. My room had no kitchen, and the shared room only had a kettle and microwave, so there wasn't much chance to cook. My towel wasn't changed during my four-night stay, even though the information said towels would be changed every three days. There was no air conditioning either, and even at 25 degrees the room got really hot. I imagine it would be much worse in a heatwave. The shared room with the sofa and microwave was a mess of dirty plates and cups. Guests should clean up after themselves, but there was no dish soap or scrubber, and the dishes stayed there for three days. Someone needed to wash them eventually, since it was gross and could start to smell, especially in summer. Without the nice view, I would've been really frustrated. Te Puni Village doesn't offer much else for a price that isn't cheap.

I finally got to see where my son has been living during his first year studying at Uni. The views were amazing, and it's close to UNI. The room has all the basics a student needs.

We found the laundry service really useful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are fairly spacious and have what you need, apart from stoves. Te Puni Village is a good Wellington option, close enough to the city centre and convenient for most attractions.

Quiet place, nice owners, and a friendly feel.

The twin buildings have great views and are close to the Kelburn campus. The price is on the dear side, though all meals are included. It closes for the holidays from November to February and at other times.
